VINEGAR PIE.

1 tbs of butter,

½ cup of vinegar,

½ cup of hot water,

1½ cup of sugar,

1 egg,

1 tsp flour,

1 tsp of lemon extract.

Directions: Put vinegar and water together; then add sugar and flour, mixed together; then the butter and beaten egg; set over hot water and cook till it thickens; remove from stove and flavor with lemon; line pie tins with puff paste and pour the mixture in; bake with an under crust.
